Vintage 1942 Patek Chemnitzer Concertina solo and a song dedicated to VeroniqueChevalier. Yes, I’ve got various skins from things that I don’t even know where they came from. Maybe, if I’m lucky, I could sell some of these things like Christy Hengel did to earn a “new” Concertina! From what I understand, this is what he did as a very very young man to get a “new” and “better” concertina many years ago. Yes, music, accordians, harmonica’s, and concertina’s are almost everywhere. I’m even having a hard time getting into my bed. Sometimes, I wonder where I am? Heaven? It seems a little bit early, but if so, I hope I’m there. This is one of my favorite bands. I love their music. BRIAN DOES A BEAUTIFUL JOB PLAYING THE CONCERTINA. And, the tune is called, “WHEN YOU RETURN”. My objective is to share this music with you. I KNOW THAT LIFE SOMETIMES CAN GET IN THE WAY. LET’S TAKE A TIME OUT!! And, while this song was being uploaded on Youtube, I’ve been working on a Vintage 1927 concertina. There were a couple of surprises inside. But, I do have it figured out and I am making significant progress on this instrument. When you go into surgery, If you can make it to 82 years of age, you can almost expect a few surprises. Still, if you find an accordian or concertina with significant “rust” on the reeds, you might as well throw it over a bridge. But, don’t worry about me. I WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING. That would be polluting the river. WHEN YOU RETURN? As a person that has 26 years of US Military service, I assure, I have always been HAPPY TO RETURN to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Do you wonder why? Listen to this music!!!!!. These guy’s are precious!!!!

Towards dawn, the bar session at the Rhine Valley Irish Association’s annual Feis Ceoil (Music Festival) thins out, leaving only the most hardened of drinkers, dancers, musicians and insomniacs. Here a shot from the early hours of the morning..
With classes begin at around 9:30 in the morning, you have to wonder at some people’s stamina. Classes finish at around 4pm, and there is a good break at mid-day. The whole festival takes place in a quiet, leafy holiday camp buried deep in the Voge mountains (Alsace) near Strassbourg. Though the teachers (all established names in Irish music and dance) are flown in from Ireland, most of the visitors know each other well from previous year’s ceoil and craic.
