CB: Before we go wed like to congratulate Jeannette Townsend, former Mayor of Valemount on receiving the BC Community achievement Award.
JANEY SHOW PHOTO
CB: She was presented the award by MLA Shirley Bond at Government House in Victoria. No word on the other two people in the photograph.
UM: Thats the current mayor of Valemount, Bob Smith on the right and village councilor Cynthia Piper on the left.
CB: They looked vaguely familiar.
UM: Yes Ms. Townsend was among forty-five outstanding British Columbians named as the recipients of the seventh annual BC Community Achievement Awards by Premier Gordon Campbell and Keith Mitchell, chair of the British Columbia Achievement Foundation. She received that award on April 28th.
CB: Make sure you get tickets for Dinner with Ingrid.
UM: This is the only Robson Valley Music Festival fundraiser for the year and promises to be a wonderful show.
CB: Were going to play some of Ingrids amazing music during the credits, so standby.
UM: Ingrid Gratin will play on May 7th at the Dunster Hall, included in the ticket price is a fabulous global fusion buffet dinner and dessert by Shara and friends.
CB: Tickets are $35.
UM: Also coming up is the Valemount Arts and Cultural Societies ultimate show for this season.
CB: The performing arts group Red Sky will tell a traditional story Raven Stole the Sun through theatre and dance.
UM: In the story, Raven tries to satisfy his overwhelming sense of curiosity, and hatches a brilliant scheme for stealing the stars, the moon and the sun and ends up bringing light to people.
CB: I wonder how the Raven feels about people thinning. The show is on May 12 at the community theater, and includes an art show by local inuit artist Julia Thrasher and her brother Willie Thrasher who is an accomplished musician.
UM: Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for kids and are available at Infinity.

CB: Im exhausted. Should we finish the show or just end it now.
UM: Were done.
