The Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council's Spring Gathering at Fi-Lox-See was a big success!. When we were asked to host this event we thought it would be great to share with you some of the artists and musicians of Wonder Valley

We were excited to have THE SIBLEYS rockin' the rooftop stage on Saturday. THE HAFLER DUO opened the show with songs from their debut album HduO and introduce several performers from their Open Mic Night at The Palms Restaurant. It included Bryan Goodlander, Brandon Brohamer, Elise Sky, Caleb Winn, Gary Sanner & more. Everyone was encouraged to bring their own instrument for an improv jam session at sunset. Fi-Lox-See's art gallery featured several local artists including Chris Carraher, Perry Hoffman, Jane Maru, Lori Greene, Mikal Winn, David Greene, Scott Monteith & Andy Woods.

May 12, 2007 starting at 4pm until sunset.

Come for a visit, bring a friend and get to know your local arts scene.

Thanks and apologies to the crew for the "Road to Wonder Valley" documentary. It will be airing on PBS. It was great to recommend artists to visit in the basin, I wish they had more time to visit more. Unfortunately it was a question and response setup and not revealed ahead of time.

My concert tee had to be turned inside out and I was too, I am not an on demand talker or consumer of libations. Luckily my EDIT was turned on as these were all personal questions. While it did relate to the desert I can't really talk about myself or lie about it. What you see is what you get.

Paintings & Prints by Scott Monteith

On display in Wonder Valley September 7 - October 8

LEN8 9 10 represents recent work by Scott Monteith. The common theme of the hand-made prints and paintings are the alien-like desert environment and its colorful inhabitants. The new work is hanging in Wonder Valley off of 29 Palms Highway (Hwy. 62) just 10 minutes outside of Twentynine Palms and its entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park. The show can be seen in person at the artists studio by appointment from 10am-5pm September 7th through October 8th. Prints and paintings reference the local landscapes of Pioneertown, Landers and Joshua Tree in rich, vibrant colors.
